మెర్రి చ్రిస్త్మాస్ చోఇర్

Shilpa is the Chorister of our Choir. The two of us are holding up a Scarf to cover the doorway so one of our choir members could get ready at the venue. The choir got me some fabric for my new Turquoise Indian top that matches their sari's. They told me now I am 1/2 Indian. I said, "Oh good! I'm nearly half way through my mission and finally 1/2 Indian. we have less than 9 months left to get it right!!

This was suppose to be a Merry Christmas card but my blog wouldn't accept it. I had this picture made up for the choir with a note that says "Merry Christmas to the Best Choir in Hyderabad!"
We had a big day Thursday. We sang in the competition and we either got 1st or 2nd. Some of the choirs took it lightly and came late and didn't get to perform. Others were disqualified because there groups were to small. There were 2 choirs that did well. Ours was one of the 2. Our song was 4 part harmony which the judges liked but the ladies went flat on the high notes in 2 places.....NOT GOOD. We shouldn't have picked our hardest song to compete with. That was his only critique ....he thought we did really well. The other group sang no harmony and their annunciation was not good. What he wants us to do is, go to the chief ministers party and "maybe" they'll give us a chance to sing. He said come prepared in your nice clothes that you wore today (the women have matching sari's and the men wore white shirts and ties....which he liked) and maybe you will get to sing.
We weren't feeling so good about going and "maybe" getting to sing but the district presidency told us we had to go....it's a big deal and good exposure for the church to be part of these things.
Then last night we sang at the previous chief ministers Christmas party. There were Literally 1000's of people at this party. They sent us an invitation! We think there were 5-6000 people in attendance. Our only problem was there was not enough mikes to make it so we were loud enough. But our group did well. One of the people in charge really liked us and asked us if we were available to come to the Chief Ministers party on Saturday....they want to work us into the program.....We told him we have an invitation already will we get to sing for sure? He said "Yes." So...competition or not.....We have an invitation to sing at the Chief Ministers party on Saturday!! (Chief Minister is like the Governor in the states)
The chief ministers party will most likely be even bigger. .....We finished at 9:30 p.m. last night and then it was dinner time. (these people are crazy. Eating dinner at 9:30 every night would kill me.) (But that's what we do when we are with them!!!) They fed all the thousands of people. We got home at 11 p.m.
Merry Christmas & Love in Telegu and than in Hindi।
