Linda Krupp sent this picture from Ted & Kurt's retirement party. Jeremy, Kurtie (Sorry Kurt Jr. ...You will always be Kurtie to me) and the office threw a nice party for these 2 guys before they zoom off on their missions.

Now Just for a little update....Ted & I are making a loop to see some of the relatives before we take our "Excellent Adventure." We are also giving the kids a trial run to see how things go while we are gone. Chelsea called yesterday and today saying she had taken some reservations!!! That's good!

I will be posting a few pictures, but I am saving this blog for our mission. We are hoping all our good friends and relatives will keep this as a favorite and check it often for pictures and updates once we really leave for India.

Mission Call

We received our mission call to the "India Bangalore Mission" on Thursday, 24th January, 2008. I didn't even know there was a mission in India! When Ted read the call I was sure he mispronounced the word. Surely he was trying to say "Indiana"! As I tore the papers away from his hand and read for myself.......It really did say India.
It is now February 18th. We have adjusted to the idea of spending 18 months in a country we never in our wildest dreams would have chose to go to! Ted say's it will be an adventure like nothing we have ever experienced.
We have some friends who are going to Nigeria next week and they suggested doing a blog. Kelly (our son-in-law) uses a blog and so does one of our grandsons. We decided if they can do it so can we! (We're the HIP Old People) (That means COOL for all you oldy goldies!!) So we will try to keep you updated on what's happening via this blog.
