Caroling in India

We had our first experience Caroling in India last night and I didn't take my camera.
The branch rented a bus thinking there would be 20 individuals that would come and there were 39 of us. We were packed in that bus, but that was part of the fun.
We left at 6 p.m. Sunday evening with a scheduled visit to every member in the branch and a few who are not. Everyone came prepared to read a scripture and share a thought. We would sing 2 songs, share the scripture thought and have a prayer at each home. Most homes had some kind of a snack or treat for us and we would say goodbye with singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas." It was a lot of fun. Elder K and I left at 10 p.m. 4 hours of caroling was good for a couple of old missionaries. Their scheduled visits were until 4 a.m. in the morning. YES...that's right.....4 a.m.....I said, "I can't believe there are people that allow you to come and carol after midnight!"
Well thats how they do it in India.
