2nd picture old Kitchen
Washing his clothes with some of the boys in the school watching and wanting to be in the photo.
This is a school for boys. There are 185 students. They stay here full time because they have no where else to go. They are kids between the ages of 8-14......but we saw several that looked to be 4-6. Street kids, beggars, kids found abandoned at bus stops, kids who's parents had put them to work 8 hours a day......They feed these kids, give them shelter and educate them. All of the humanitarian projects we have visited are non-government projects. Started by people with big hearts who had a dream or a vision. The church built a shelter for this school where they eat. Also put in a water system for clean water and helped get showers and toilets. As bad as they may seem.........they are showers and toilets. Erik (our son-in-law who does demolition work) would ask as we have asked are they building it up or tearing it down? You can never tell. These toilets and showers are actually new.
