Jane, Parimala, Elder Ward and Elder Korrayya

This is Jane. She came here in April to work for the American Embassy. She lives in 1st branch and we are happy to have her here. She's eager to help and serve in anyway she can. She helps us with the choir. She loves to sing and plays the piano. (She hasn't exposed to us how well she plays. I think she's holding out.) She invited us to her home which is a lovely apartment close to City Center in Banjara Hills. Mostly wealthy people live there. The reason she invited us was a 4th of July celebration dinner. She cooked hamburgers (as close to hamburgers as you will get here) potato salad, macaroni salad and for dessert Cherry pie and Apple pie ala mode!! We loved spending time with her and eating her delicious food!!

This is Parimala for those of you who have heard me talk about her. She is a great investigator and we love her because she is such a good person. She wants us to meet her family. She said she told them about us and they want to meet us. We'll go some time next week as she is traveling to Bangalore this week. She will attend church with the Eichelbergers. (a fun couple serving there)

The next picture is Elder Kasper with 2 of the many elders that we love. Elder Ward on the right has been the district leader for 2nd branch.

He is now going to Bangalore to serve as the Zone

leader there. He has been here since before Christmas and we really grow attached to the Elders who don't leave. He promised to come and see us. We're holding him to that promise.
His companion on the left is Elder Mickelson who is from Idaho Falls. We were attached to him from the first moment we saw him because he's from home!! He's a good missionary also. He knows Uncle Mark Price and he knows Cyrus... That makes him feel like part of the family. He was the one who told me Uncle Mark had lost some more fingers!! What's up with that family???? And yes he is the grandson of a general authority by the name of Mickelson from Idaho Falls.

How can you do anything but love these smiling faces who have put on the whole Armor of God and are serving so well. (Someone pick up the phone and call the Mickelsons and tell them what a great missionary they raised) (and we're taking good care of them) (actually the mission president does that....)

4th branch Elders (from left to right)
Allred, Korrayya (from Chennai or Madras) and Lohat (from Delhi)
The Mission President used 4th branch as an example in Zone conference to help them understand their calling. There are 2-3 million people in 4th branch and these 3 elders have been called with authority to take charge of that area...with all the rights and powers needed to do so. If only 1% is interested these Elders have charge of 20 to 30,000 people. More than they can handle. Do you think God is interested in helping them? We all know the answer to that question. It brings new meaning to called to serve!!!

This is Elder Barr with Elder Korrayya. He serves in 1st branch and is very tall. I notice those things because there are not a lot of tall people here and I am very tall. Elder Barr is from Logan area. He was our Friend Job's home teacher before his mission. Job is from Hyderabad for those of you who don't know. He was recently made a US citizen.... His mother left this morning on a plane for SLC. She is going to serve a mission at the Family History Center. I told Job Sirisha is coming to Utah State University and his mother in SLC. When we get home we are going to go to SLC and have a party cause we love these people. Job said, "Sister Kasper, What about me and Leslie?" (Leslie is his wife) I said, "Oh Job....did I forget to tell you? The party is at your house!" He laughed and was thrilled. They just moved to Hyde Park. Job is one of those people that finds his way into your heart! We love him too! We've never met Leslie...but we look forward to our first meeting.

Here we are....The old with the Sisters. Just remember all you kids out there...."Old is Better!!" (left to right)
