A rush of Birthday's

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. This is Selah Fay's Birthday party. Talley and Monika both have birthdays this month too. Boston's birthday was Jan 31st and Chelsea's birthday is Valentines day. Sarah's birthday also Valentines day and Jared's birthday on the 25th. Also need to include my Uncle Don's birthday on Tuesday the 9th. That's 8 of the special people in my life!!!

The kids gathered for a picture. Keelee and Tiana both wanted to know why Alex didn't come to the party. It's hard for them to understand he's so far away!! At least you know you were missed Mr. Alex!!
This is the CAKE Tia made for Selah!! It was so cute. Those are heart cookies that she cooked and decorated and then put them on the cake and turned them into flowers! I thought she was very creative. Good job Tia!!! Selah's lucky to have you for a mom!!

BEAUTIFUL DAY OF SNOWSHOEING

Ted & I went in the west hills of the valley we live in and found a fun place to spend the afternoon. It was a glorious warm winter day. The trees were beautiful and nothing but the quiet gentle sounds of the woods could be heard.

We found Snowshoe Rabbit tracks in the snow and also the tracks of elk. We were quiet and the only sound we heard was the crunch made as our snowshoes hit the snow with each step.
There were some fascinating views of how the snow lay in the bushes and trees. The picture doesn't do justice to how we felt.

Adjusing our snowshoes. It was only the 2nd time we have snowshoed this year.

Hope this provides a small glimpse into a wonderful day. Even the sky was magnificent looking.

Goals being Fullfilled

It's only the 9th of February and
I finished my 2nd puzzle and read my 2nd book. I read "All I Ever Needed to Know I learned in Kindergarten" by Robert Folghum. It was an interesting book. His view makes you think about some things.
I also started my indexing for Family History again. My goal is to acceed 1000 names a month. I should be able to do that easily. Indexing is a wonderful service to give to the Family History Program of the church.
My goal to attend the temple is working also. We attended the Idaho Falls temple, the Rexburg Temple and the Salt Lake Temple in January. For February we attended the Rexburg temple once so far....and our plans are to attend the Twin Falls Idaho Temple next week. For all of our friends in India you may know that Pres. Nelson who served as mission president to India lives in Twin Falls. I understand he is in the temple presidency????? I'll tell you for sure after next week. I'm hoping we get to meet him.

NEW YEAR

This year came in with a bang!!! We picked Sirisha Kollu up New Year's Eve about noon. Tia fixed lunch for us and trhen we spent some time at Rebecca & Kelly's playing with the kids and also played "The Train" Game. Train" game. We drove to Victor about 8:30 and the night ended
about 11 p.m. Not a real exciting New Year's Eve but so nice to have Sirisha with us. New Year's day Nik and Madhu called to say Happy New year and on the 2nd of January Knut. (Germany) We loved hearing from our friends and decided this would be a great year of good surprises.

NEW YEAR'S GOALS
I'm not one for setting a lot of New Year's Goals but this year I set some goals that will be fun and challenging.
1st Goal: Complete one puzzle a month. or 12 this year. I need to relax more and putting a puzzle together is a challenge and fun. The above picture is my 1st puzzle of 1000 pieces.
2nd Goal: Read at least 6 good books. I just completed my first book. It's called "When the Road Gets Rough. by Hill. Excellent book. I highly recommend it for anyone who faces any type of challenge in their life.
3rd Goal: Attend Temple at least once a month. We have visited twice already this month. We took Sirisha to the Idaho Falls temple and then Ambika and Sirisha to the Salt Lake Temple.
4th Goal: Read Church magazines completely. I never get them completely read....Just partially. This month I have read "The Ensign" "Lahona", part of "The New Era", and most of "The Friend."
I want to try some new things this year and I want to exercise and be healthy!! But I'm not making that a 5th goal.....

January has started off in a grand way. This is spending time with Leslie and Job and Sirisha at the Cyril home. It was wonderul to see them. Leslie was fixing us Indian food for lunch. yummy!!!

The littliest one in the Cyril home...at least for a short time more!!!

On top of the Joseph Smith building having dinner with Ambika and Sirisha. A nice reunion and another wonderful part of the beginning of 2010.

Idaho Falls temple and it was freezing!!!! Sirisha where is your coat????
